Company Capsule
Freightliner Trucks is the lead nameplate of Freightliner LLC, the North American commercial vehicle subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG. Its product line ranges from class 3 to 8, and includes heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles, severe-service trucks, and fire engines.
Freightliner is best known for its class-8 highway tractors, which include the Century Class, Columbia, Classic XL, Coronado, and Argosy models. In February 2002, the company introduced M2, a new class 5-8 platform to accompany its existing Business Class line. Other key Freightliner products include the Condor, a low cab forward truck for refuse haulers.
